Elster was the musical moniker of Salem Roberts from 2010-2014.

In addition to amassing multiple film credits for independent film scores by collaborating with students at Watkins College of Art in Nashville, Elster also composed a small number of songs that were released as an EP and adopted into a modern dance piece by MM2 Dance Studio in Pennsylvania and featured on WMTS 88.3 radio at Middle Tennessee State University.
